There’s nothing like creating your space in the countryside and living wild lives – doing it for real. But sometimes it’s also nice to watch other people doing so on TV. 

For many years now, TV presenter Ben Fogle has been off on his travels, visiting people living in wild locations – people who have ‘given up the rat race’ to live a wilder and more natural existence. 

Many of Ben’s programmes have been filmed internationally (probably with a fair sized carbon footprint). Perhaps due to the pandemic – recent ones have been filmed in Britain.  

In season 15 of Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild, the programmes have featured Scotland, Wales and England.

Channel 5 and Ben Fogle aren’t the only ones documenting wild lives.

On Channel 4, Jimmy Doherty did a short stint overseas in Escape to the Wild. And more recently, Sophie Morgan goes on a road trip in the UK in Living Wild: How to Change your Life.
